Helo is a calm and thoughtfully composed environment where everyday life unfolds at an unhurried pace. Light, materials, and proportions come together in an interior that does not seek attention, but instead creates a balanced and reassuring setting for work, meetings, and moments of pause.
When a small team chose to establish themselves in Malmö, the ambition was to explore the southern Swedish market without committing too far ahead. They needed a workplace quickly. Five weeks, in the middle of summer. What initially seemed like a demanding timeline became a clear direction where every decision had to be intentional from the outset.
The selected space was a turn of the century apartment in central Malmö. Generous ceiling heights, decorative mouldings and deep window niches created an immediate sense of character. The rooms already carried a presence that could not be replicated. Our role was to carefully introduce new functions and technical solutions while preserving what made the space unique.
The project was guided by a clear commitment to sustainability. All furniture was sourced second hand. Pieces with previous lives were combined with carefully selected textiles and details, with the intention that the interior can move and adapt as the company grows or relocates. Reuse became a natural part of the concept and a defining quality of the project.
The result is a flexible workplace where rapid delivery meets long term thinking. An interior that respects the building’s heritage, supports the team’s everyday needs and enables a circular approach to growth over time.
